Sir Hopenchange and his great money printing machine

Tuesday, 17 March 2009 8:19 A GMT-05
After posting another large loss, Sir Hopenchange is giving AIG another $30-billion. $50-billion of the billions already given them went to five foreign banks. Why are are we bailing out foreign banks and bonusing crooked executives? Why indeed!

Birds of a feather

Saturday, 14 March 2009 12:47 P GMT-05
If he was being honest, Obama would have said that he agreed 100% with what Wright said, just not how he said it. Redistributing wealth is a classic tenet of Rev. Wright's Black Liberation Theology, and redistributing wealth is high on Obama's list.

Too few cops?

Tuesday, 10 March 2009 6:25 P GMT-05
In pursuit of flawed policy and a failed ideology, our resources are being squandered; our sense of conscience, morality and reason tossed aside. We'll soon be a nation that's financially and morally bankrupt. I'd yell HELP but no one is listening.

Doo-doo economics!

Friday, 6 March 2009 9:28 A GMT-05
Folks, I get it. After listening over and over to Obama's February 24 budget speech to Congress, it finally sank in. Instead of Voodoo economics, this is simply doo-doo economics! Why have the republicans and El Rushbo made all of this so difficult?

Wrong man; wrong job; wrong answer

Thursday, 5 March 2009 6:24 P GMT-05
A student of the failed Japan bailout of the 90s, Tim Geithner, Obama's Secretary of the Treasury is charged with fixing the American economy - after he pays $34,000 in overdue taxes. But this time, he's sure it will work. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!

The second sinking of the fleet

Tuesday, 3 March 2009 4:47 P GMT-05
Yesterday the Dow fell to 6763 - a decline of 25% in two months and the lowest level since 1997. Instead of raising all the boats as he promised, through ignorance, negligence and ideology, Obama and his socialistic party have sunk the fleet - again.

Remember New Coke? Say Hello to the New America!

Friday, 27 February 2009 11:18 A GMT-05
New Coke had the spotlight for only three months, but business folklore is filled with stories about what happened when a cocky leader tampered with a well-established and successful brand. Is the same thing happening to classic America under Obama?

Santa Bama

Friday, 23 January 2009 8:30 P GMT-05
Jan. 21 seemed to me a lot like Dec. 26 - the day after Christmas. The day after all the presents are opened. The day when folks realize they aren't getting all they wanted or all that was promised. When reality sets in does depression follow?

A Silver Lining to an Obama win?

Thursday, 6 November 2008 3:20 P GMT-05
Despite the gloom and doom; despite getting our butt kicked, if we look hard enough, there are some bright spots to an Obama win. Perhaps the brightest spot of all is that on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 America voted to make race an irrelevant issue.

The morning after and all the elephants are weeping

Tuesday, 4 November 2008 7:42 P GMT-05
To the party that won: it's time to put up or shut up. But remember, you cannot help the poor by destroying the rich or strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help men by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves.

Why "this" doesn't mean "that"

Sunday, 5 October 2008 7:56 P GMT-05
Double-speak has become the official language in Washington. If you heard the spin that surrounded the Wall Street bail out or watched any of the debates, you've repeatedly heard folks doing their best to explain why "this" doesn't mean "that."

Turning on, tuning in and dropping out!

Friday, 12 September 2008 10:57 A GMT-05
Timothy Leary said, "Turn on, tune in, drop out." Like the slogan, "Change we can believe in," it urged people to "change" by detaching themselves from existing conventions and hierarchies, albeit with drugs. It's also a good way to combat media bias
