Celebrate Memorial Day with "The American Patriot's Bible"
Our pastor, Dr. Richard G. Lee, has recently completed a two-year project as General Editor of what he calls "The American Patriot's Bible - the Word of God and the Shaping of America." The book is an illustrated version of the New King James Translation, coupled with snippets that show how our history was inseparably intertwined with our Fore Father's spirituality and beliefs.

That's the good part.
Here's the bad part: The release of "The American Patriot's Bible" has brought the Christian-bashers and the God-haters out of the closet in droves! Why? Because in this day and age, the government, the courts and elements in our society are working tirelessly to take God out of everything they can. Even though this nation has been operating in rebellion to God and biblical truth for decades, the goal of the godless among us is to make God irrelevant.
How? By removing the Ten Commandments from public buildings; by taking prayer out of public schools and denouncing public displays celebrating religious holidays. By making a mockery of marriage and by supporting the slaughter of millions of babies - they have attempted to make God disappear from our public and private lives. Now they are attacking our country's spiritual history. Here are a few excerpts of some of the negative reviews that are published on Amazon.com© and on the Barnes & Noble© web site:

Do you find such mindless vitriol hard to stomach? I do! Fortunately, the positive reviews outnumber the negative ones by a substantial margin and the book enjoys an eight star positive rating, even with the Christian-bashers included in the mix.
Folks, whether each of the Founding Fathers was a Christian isn't really the issue. Neither does the book try to prove that Jesus is on our side. Rather, it seeks to prove that in laying the foundation for our government, our Fore Fathers sought Divine guidance and embraced the following Judeo-Christian ethics as the founding principals for a civilized nation:
Principal #1 - The Dignity of Human Life
Principal #2 - The Traditional Monogamous Family
Principal #3 - A National Work Ethic
Principal #4 - The Right to a God-Centered Education
Principal #5 - The Abrahamic Covenant
Principal #6 - Common Decency
Principal #7 - Our Personal Accountability to God
Dr. Lee has this to say, "While other nations have built their government upon the shaky foundations of communism, socialism, and countless other anti-God philosophies, only to see those foundations crumble, America stands without equal as a beacon of hope and freedom in a hurting world."
But is American about to crumble? We need only view the 6:00 or 11:00 news to see that our nation is literally awash in crime. Home invasions, car-jackings, armed robberies, assaults, rapes, stabbings, shootings and other acts of wanton violence dominate the news.
We are unsafe in our cars, our homes and in even bedroom communities across our nation. A number of our corporate leaders and department-heads in every level of government are corrupt. Many state and local governments are practically broke. Congress is dysfunctional and with every day that passes, our new president is taking us further down the path to Godlessness and socialism.
Our resources are being used-up fighting a war that is draining our bank account; killing and maiming thousands of the best this country has to offer - our young servicemen and women.
It is my personal belief that this is what happens when God is removed from society. Unfortunately, the worst may be yet to come as many in our government seem to have lost their spiritual soul and their moral compass.
Dr. Lee continues, "Our Founding Fathers delivered to us a system of government that has enjoyed unprecedented success; we are now the world's longest ongoing constitutional republic. Well over two hundred years under one form of government is an accomplishment unknown among contemporary nations."
I would chalk-up our success and our longevity as a free and prosperous nation to the spirituality of our people, the Godliness of our leaders and the biblical influence that runs through the colorful fabric of our nation's past and present. But that was then and this is now.
Our current President recently said: "We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values." Evidently he is unaware or simply doesn't care that from 1776 to 1956, all fifty states, either in the Preamble to their state Constitution or their own Bill of Rights, unashamedly affirmed a belief in God and a dependence on Divine Providence.
The American Patriots Bible documents these facts about our Judeo-Christian heritage and our founders' reverence for Almighty God. It settles the question once and for all regarding our Forefathers' dependence upon Him as they went about their work framing our government and ensuring our civil, political and religious liberties.
Today, in the face of so many challenges to our way of life from within and without, this book offers hope to Americans ... the opportunity to learn the truth about our past and perhaps rethink how we consider ourselves.
